"Meaningless. Worship"

“Meaningless Worship Condemned”

Worship to be seen God gets no Glory

Isaiah is warning Israel and us concerning meaningless worship.the reality is God knows our hearts. The Old saints would sing I won't to be like Jesus In my heart. I am one of those old saints. God is the only one know our heart., therefore we cannot fool him with our worship. Listen to the Scriptures

Lesson: Isaiah 29:1-16

Golden Text: KJV—verse 13: “This people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men”

Worship entails paying reverence to God in thought or action to acknowledge His worth. The essence of worship is that the worshipper is absorbed in humble adoration of God.

Meaningless: without any clear purpose, value or importance

Worship: a. The reverent love and devotion accorded a deity, an idol, or a sacred object.

b. The ceremonies, prayers, or other religious forms by which this love is expressed.

2. Ardent devotion; adoration

Condemned: To express strong disapproval of; To lend credence to or provide evidence for an adverse judgment against; blame, convict

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

In this lesson we see that the people were not worshipping God with an sincere heart. They opened their mouth to begin to speak worship unto him and with their lips to honor him, but the true spiritual hearts were not connected to the Father. They were worshipping the Father with sense of how men begin to teach them as going through the motion and not being sincere. Because of this, God closed the eyes of the prophets and the seers, who was anointed to tell the people what was coming into their lives and what was going to happen, but because the prophets and the seers begin to act and do the same thing the people were doing, he caused them to be able to use the gifts that he gave them. Their worship became vain and meaningless and the Lord did not accept their worship, because the Lord knows the truth of the heart of man. The Lord said that he would perform miracles and do wonders in the sight of those who were wise and intelligent, and they will see these things, but they will perish, because they will not be able to understand what was going on. The people wanted to offer up worship unto the Lord that came from the creation of man and not from God, the Lord would not accept their worship.

God Bless you

Focus On You

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” Psalm 138:8 (NKJV)

When we go to God asking Him to change a person in our life, He always shows us things we need to change about ourselves.  It’s like “Lord, can we please take the focus off of me right now?”  He responds with an emphatic, “No, I will take care of them, but let’s talk about you.”  It forces growth in us that is unpleasant, but necessary.  Many of us adamantly demand change in others while they themselves either remain the same or slowly improve.  This is not to say that you are to ignore wrong behavior or that you can’t offer positive criticism, but when your entire focus is on what someone else isn’t doing, you’re missing it.  The truth of the matter is, you can’t change others, but you can change yourself.  It’s like driving a car.  You can’t concentrate on the road and be overly consumed with the car next to you.  If you do, you will wreck your car.  You will live a more peaceful life if you learn to focus on you and leave the rest for God to take care of.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being so interested in my personal growth and development.  Help me to be patient with those around me as You work on me.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Hope of His Coming. 11 Peter 3:3-15a

Our focus has been "A Call to Holy Living" for the month May. Take a look below for a quick recap of what we've already learned...

Lesson I " A Living Hope" we learned to hold on to our living hope in Jesus during difficult times, to remember that our troubles in this world are not compared to the eternal life and eternal hope we have in Him, and that He offers us something far better in the Future.

Lesson II "Equipped for Godliness" we learned that God has already provided us with all that we need to live godly lives, and as Christians we should learn how to use and show the resources that God has given us, and to live the way God wants us to live.

Lesson III "Serving One Another" we learned as Christians we all have been given various spiritual gifts and we should use our gifts effectively to serve one another, without complaining, and with love in our hearts.

This Weeks Lesson "The Hope of His Coming"  As a reminder of words that have already been spoken Peter wrote a Second Letter. Peter tells us that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and indulging their own lusts. They will live in open rebellion against God, Jesus, His followers, and they will do whatever they want for their personal pleasure and ambition. They will reject God's past judgments, promises, and the return of Jesus. They do not believe that God created the world, they deliberately ignore the fact that by the Word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed and that back in the days of Noah God brought judgment on the sinners by a great flood. Unbelievers ignore that fact.

By the Word, the world was created. By the Word, the prophets spoke words of warning and coming judgment. God's judgment this time will not come by water but by fire the godless will have no place in the Kingdom because they refuse to love and worship God. Peter also say not to ignore this one fact that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some may think, He is patient not wanting us to perish, but all to come to repentance. The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night "unexpectedly" so we should always live holy lives waiting on the day of the Lord found without spot or blemish, but to be found by Him in peace.

Planted By God

LET GOD PLANT YOU

A seed doesn’t just need water in order to grow, it needs the right amount of everything.  It needs the right amount of water, soil, sunlight, and love.  A seed doesn’t get to choose it’s own soil, the gardener does.  When it comes to church membership, every believer must be planted somewhere in order to grow and blossom.  However, you don’t choose where you are planted, God does.  He chooses the conducive environment that is perfect for you and your family. You don’t just need good preaching or a great kids program.  You need a conducive environment that’s perfect for your optimum growth and spiritual development.  God is the gardener and where He plants you, you will prosper.  Where He plants you, you will be challenged.  Where He plants you, you will blossom and spread your wings to soar.  That conducive environment will bring out the best in you and you will in turn give your best back to it.  Are you growing?  Are you blossoming?  Are you soaring?  Are you being challenged? Is your life producing visible results?  If not, you must ask yourself if whether you have been planted by God or if you have chosen your own soil.  When you plant yourself, you develop weeds and your life doesn’t produce much.  Pray for God to plant you and you will begin to grow and blossom for the glory of God.

“To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.” (Isaiah 61:3 NLT)

Prayer: Father, I pray You direct me to the church that is the right environment for me and my family.  I want to be all that You have called me to be.  Lead me and guide me to where You want me to be planted.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Humility

HUMILITY

(1 Peter 5:1-11)
Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, be-cause, “God
opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

As Peter gives final instructions at the close of his letter, he
addresses both old and young, leaders and followers, shepherds and
sheep. Leaders should lead out of generosity and not for gain, he
warns, because the flock belongs to God. Followers should follow with a
teachable spirit. All should wear humility visibly, as if it were
clothing. Humility should be like a uniform that God’s people wear.

Humility starts with an acknowledgment of our complete dependence on
God. When the Heidelberg Catechism asks, “What is your only comfort in
life and in death?” the answer shows our dependence: “I am not my own,
but belong—body and soul, in life and in death—to my faithful Savior,
Jesus Christ.” We rely completely on Jesus for our salvation and our
very existence. What a relief that it does not depend on our own
strength!

That humility should shape how we treat one another. We all belong to
God, so we have neither an authority of our own nor a right to profit
from other people.

That same ancient catechism draws out the implications of our
dependence: “Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit,
assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and
ready from now on to live for him.”

May we in humility serve God by serving one another!

Prayer:
Lord, make us people who acknowledge our dependence on you. Grant us
humble hearts to serve. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hope Restored. Luke:24:13-21,28-35

Become He has Risen all our Hope is Restored:

This a Summery of the Lesson:

This takes place Early Sunday. Morning. Jesus had Risen from the grave the woman seen him first.

Theses 2 disciples are walking back to Jerusalem. They are not the disciplines as we know . There were other disciples. Luke gave us there name. Cleopas and in reach it said the other one could be his Wife. Let us not let that cause us to miss the message. After saying that These two disciple was depressed there hope was gone, there Lord was now dead. The one who had gave sight to the blind , cashed out daemons, no doubt they were saying what are we going to do.

Jesus caught pup with them in verse in verse 15 but they did not know Him
Verse 16 Jesus ask why you are sad, what you talking about.
Verse 16 the answer. Are you a stranger don't you know Jesus of Nazareth , which was a prophet mighty in deeds and words before God and all the people Verse 20. The chief priests and our rulers delivered and have condemned to death, and have crucified him.

Jesus went home with them and He ate with them . When He blessed the bread they knew who he was. When you get blessed from God you will know who He is

Notice what they said "didn't our Hearts Burn within us while He talked wit us"
When I was a girls there was a old deacon name Deacon Harris He would say didn't our hearts burn, I thought it was funny then.

The disciple went where way telling the news.

When Jesus speaks to you you will know the voice, and you can't keep it to yourself

Happy Easter

Create In Me a Clean Heart

Lord, Create In Me A Clean Heart

Have you ever prayed that God would give you a clean heart and a right spirit? King David did. As the story goes, King David spotted Bathsheba from his rooftop bathing herself. He later slept with her, got her pregnant and then had her husband killed, all in an attempt to cover it up. He was later approached by the Prophet Nathan about it and then he realized he had sinned against God (2 Samuel 11-12). He went from being God’s right hand man to being tied up in a vicious web of sin and lies. Today, even when great spiritual leaders of our time fall into sin, typically it’s not for adultery and murder. Yet, God loved King David, as He does us all. He viewed him as a man after His own heart and blessed him to be in Jesus’ lineage. Sin effects us. It effects our lives and how we view ourselves. We say to ourselves, “Look at what I have done. I’m no good. How can I be of any use to God or anyone?” This is the ultimate pity party attitude. Ok, you lied, you cheated, you stole, you knocked him out, you slept with the guy, you slept with the girl, you slept with both of them at the same time, you smoked it, you passed it around, you drank it and you enjoyed it! You then realized you sinned against God and now you feel guilty and shameful. King David sat exactly in the same place you’re sitting and what did he do? He not only asked God to forgive him, but he asked God to create in Him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. With only a forgiven sin, we are bound to repeat our actions over and over again, but with a clean heart and a right spirit we won’t. We find that King David is never once mentioned again to have fallen into that same sin. Only God can cause you to detest and run from sin, rather than find pleasure in it. He doesn’t want to just forgive you, He wants to give you a new heart, a new mind and new life through Jesus. With His help, your days of struggling with sin are over!

“Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.” (Romans 6:12-14 NLT)

Prayer:
Father, I’m struggling with sin. The problem is I enjoy it, but I know You hate it! So I repent and I command by Your power that the grip of sin be broken off of my life right now in Jesus name. Lord, show me how to walk in newness of life with a new heart and a new mind. Help me love what You love and hate what You hate. Thank You for setting me free! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"Trust God"

HAVE CONFIDENCE IN GOD ALONE

(JEREMIAH 17:5 AMP)
THUS SAYS THE LORD: CURSED [WITH GREAT EVIL] IS THE STRONG MAN WHOSE TRUSTS IN AND RELIES ON FRAIL MAN, MAKING WEAK [HUMAN] FLESH HIS ARM, AND WHOSE MIND AND HEART TURN ASIDE FROM THE LORD.

In order to succeed at anything, we must have confidence, but first and foremost it must be confidence in God, not confidence in anything else. We must develop confidence in God's love, goodness, and mercy. We must believe that He wants us to succeed.

God did not create us for failure. We may fail at some things on our way to success, but if we trust Him, He will take even our mistakes and work them out for our good (Romans 8:28).

Hebrews 3:6 tells us we must "...hold fast and firm to the end our joyful and exultant confidence and sense of triumph in our hope [in Christ]." It is important to realize that a mistake is not the end of things if we hold on to our confidence.

We all have a destiny, but just because we are destined to do something does not mean that it will automatically happen. I (Joyce Meyer) went through many things while God was developing me and my ministry. Often I lost my confidence concerning the call on my life. Each time I had to get my confidence back before I could go forward again.

Put your confidence in God alone, and He will cause you to truly succeed at being yourself.

"KEEP IT SIMPLE"

KEEP IT SIMPLE
How did you come to receive Jesus? Think back for a moment on how simple it was. You asked Him to come into your heart, and you were saved and in a new relationship with the Lord. How awesome! Many of us can testify that when Jesus came into our lives we didn't hear bolts of thunder and the room probably didn't shake, however, we knew that something miraculous had happened and we would never be the same! We were confident that we were born again and would one day spend eternity in heaven with the Lord! Glory to God! A simple prayer changed our lives completely!

Well, if we can receive Jesus through simply asking Him to come into our hearts, why do so many of us make our lives so complicated? Why do we make our relationships complicated? Our approach to spiritual growth complicated? Sin complicates everything. We make life complicated when we want to do things our way. However, when we yield ourselves to God and simply do what He says to do in the Bible we will find so much ease and simplicity. Just like receiving Jesus is simple, living everyday life and handling everyday challenges is simple when we do what God says to do. Don’t complicate it! Yield and surrender to God! Keep it simple!

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16 NLT)

Prayer:

Father, forgive me for making things so complicated through my stubbornness. I submit to You and I yield to You. Show me how to keep everything in my life simple by trusting and obeying what You tell me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Daniel's Prayer Of Confession

Sunday's lesson Daniel 9:4-14
Daniel is still in Babylon in captivity after the siege in Jerusalem because of their Sins and disobedience to God. God use there Enemies to chastise them.

Prophet Jeremiah had prophesied .

Jer 25:11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

At the time of our text the 70 years is coming to an end. And Daniel did not want anything to hinder these Jews from being delivered from captivity.

He knew God will do what He said He would do. Daniel also knew God is merciful even to rebels, if they confess their sins and return to Him.

Don't let your past disobedience keep you from turning to God. He is waiting with opened arms

Daniel knew how to pray. He had read GOD'S word and believed them.As he prayed, He fasted confessed his sins, and pleaded that God would reveal His Will

Verse 4-8 Daniels Confession of Sin
Read verse 5. Daniel didn't blame all the sin on the nation He included himself . We have Sinned.

Two often we believe every thing wrong in our Churches, home,or job that is wrong is someone else .

If we would pray we may realize we ant so innocence. He go on name some sins. He was reminding. ISREAL the reason they were being Chastisement
Read verse 6. God had sent many prophets to speak to his people, but there message was ignored .God still speaks. Through Preachers, Teachers, friend

9-14 Daniel mentioned the blessing and curses outlined in Deuteronomy 28 you need to read Deuteronomy

Deu 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
Deu 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
Deu 28:3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

God gave ISREAL a choice
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Some people mistakenly believe that God of the Old Testament was aGod of Judgment and God of the New Testament is a God of Love the nature of God does not change.

The Captivity was long in coming and the people was given every opportunity to repent God sent prophets to warn the people was a expression of his love

13-14 Divine appeal Daniel. Indicated ISREAL ISREAL did not seek pardon for there sins bottom line was that the people did not wont to turn from there sins Daniel acknowledge this was Israel's problem

This has always been man,s problem and is today
Verse( 9-14 ) , he was declaring that God kept ready the calamity that eventually came upon the nations.

Closing in response to Daniel prayer the Angle Garbiel appeared to Daniel

Dan 9:21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
Dan 9:22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy

Bottom line. We all going to pay for our sins. Sin will block your healing, your finance, your health

God Bless you

Dan 9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
Scriptures Dan 9:5 We have sinned, and have
SCRIPTURES. 5 We have sinned and committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
Dan 9:6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
Dan 9:7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
Dan 9:8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
Dan 9:9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
Dan 9:10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
Dan 9:11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
Dan 9:12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
Dan 9:13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
Dan 9:14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

A Glorious Reign Ahead

Sunday 's Lesson : The Book of Daniel,Chapter 7:9-15

In Chapter 7. Daniel's Visions. Apocalyptic vision means a
prophetic of devastation or ultimate doom. At various points in Jewish history serval books fall into this category Ezekiel,Daniel,Zechariah, and Revelation. These books deals with graphic, symbols, animals, and there are different Interpretations don't let that cause you to miss the message Aman.

After haven't said that. At this time in our text Jerusalem had been siege Jeremiah was the prophet for Judah (the Southern Kingdom) He confronted the Leaders and the people of their sins. He also prophesied their 70 year siege in Babylon because of their sins.

This is the same Daniel in chapter 2 Daniel encounter with King Nebuchadnezzar dream.

Belshazzar rules Babylon after Nebuchadnezzar and Chapter 5 tells of his encounter with Daniel, was different he hade a party and drunk wine from the Temple Vessels and a Hand began to write on the wall Daniel read The writing on the wall He is in Babylon remember

Remember this is a Prophecy what Daniel. Is during looking into time before time exist and telling what God has shown. The Jews was in a strange land they were captive and it seems that God had left them
There were idols gods in Babylon. They were helpless they thought.
But God always have some prophet are some Preacher to give a word of encouragement Daniel ,

gave these Jews confidence that God is in control of history. They were to wait patiently in faith and not worship the gods of Babylon or accept there society's way of life. Evil will be overcome . This tells us we should wait patiently and not give in to the temptation and sinful ways of life around us. What we as Christians must always remember God is still and all will be in control.
The text is a Glorious Reign Ahead. Key word Ahead. We going through but I am looking ahead

When we get to our text Daniel 7:9 a shift has taken place the prophecy is about the end times judgment and is really what John saw

Dan 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

What is Daniel talking about the Thrones of God and describe Him sitting on it

Verse 10
Dan 7:10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. Notice books plural.

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Daniel and John saw God judging millions of people as they stood before him
We all will stand before God and give account of our lives. The question we all should ask. If our life was judge by God today, what would he say about it? How would he measure it against his Word? I we
The Word He is talking is this Bible John 1 Gospel writer tells it was the word . the beginning was the Word . That is why you need the Word if you are going any place there must be a beginning All should keep that in mind.

Dan 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
Dan 7:12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
Verse 13-14Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
Dan 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel is Jesus is going to be the King of Kings and it will be everlasting .
What is Daniel saying to you? What ever you are going through The-pains ,the lies, what ever Sateen has sent your way. Be patient ,hold on keep trusting God It's going to be a new day

A Glorious

Col.3:5-15

Clothed In Christ Col. 3:5-

When we become a Christian (a new person ) Old sinful ways are dead .
The first demand is put to death all sins that enslave the body and its members . The word Mortify in the Greek means "Dead"

Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Col 3:6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

Notice what sins enslave the body. The bible is very specific
Fornication , uncleanness , inordinate affection ( pathos) passion, craving, strong desire, a driving lust . It is a desire and craving for the wrong thing these sins enslave a person body so much that they make a child of disobedience out of a person. These sins bring down the wrath of God upon man
Such sins belong to the old life

The second demand strip of the sins that enslaves the emotions and tongue
Col 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Col 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Col 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

The picture of this is putting off or stripping of clothes
Here are six sins to be stripped notice all six have to do with either deep- seated emotions or else the tongue- reaction and feelings against another Pearson . The sin of anger, wrath, malice. Malice deep-seated feeling against a person , hatred that last on an on

Blasphemy (blasphemian ) speech that slanders, insults, hurt, injures, and shows contempt. The sin of filthy communication . The sin of lying

There are the reasons we should put off these sins of the tongue and emotions
We have put of the old man
We have put on the new man.
We are all one body in Chris
Christ has made it possible for us to be adopted as children's , sons and daughters, of God all of us belong to the same family- the family of God. There is no place for anger, wrath, malice, blasphemous , insulting ,filthy talk, and lying. We are all God's children's

Verse-12-14 Now that we have taken of the old garments now we have put on the new garments

Col 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Col 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Col 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

The elect of God are the Believers those that have a New Life in Christ. The word "Holy" means to be set apart God called believers out of the world away from the old life it offered, the old life of sin and death. He called us to be separated and set apart unto Himself and the new life He offers the new life of righteousness and eternity

The clothing of the elect. Mercy compassion , pity, tender heart-ed ness this should flow out of the hearth of a Christian
Kindness ,humility, meekness , long suffering or patience
Forbearance means to hold back to put up with . You know there are some thing about all of us that just turn some people off

Forgiveness Means to be gracious to a Pearson to pardon him for some wrong done against him

Mar 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Luk 17:4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Love the Christian must put on love. Love is the Bond of perfection love binds all the clothing mercy, kindness, humility, meekness , Long-suffering, forbearance, forgiveness

1Cr 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

A new Heart verse 15-
Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

with a new Pearson , a new heart. We must have the peace of God. The believer does not automatically experience the peace of God . The believer must make a choice the decision is his

Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

May God Bless Yoy

Awed by His Greatness

School of ministry: Lesson
Awed by His Greatness.Colossians 1:15-20
The word awed means: inspired by a feeling of fearful wonderment or reverence • awed by the silence. I don't have words to explain I am in awed.

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

In this Colossians church were false teachers , many churches today have false teachers. These teachers were called . "Gnosticism" They was teaching that Jesus was not God merely a Man

The Paster of this Church (Epaphras) meet with Paul for advice in dealing with these heresy. How do you deal with false teaching ? By telling them the truth.

So in this verse Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

This verse destroys false teaching and false thoughts about God and Jesus Christ . Reviles who God and Jesus Christ are. The word "image"(eikon) means the exact image, the very Pearson of God.
It means that Jesus Christ was the perfect manifestation or revelation of God. God is invisible or unseen, but Jesus Christ reveals God to the world. He reveals God as thee exact image of God. Plainly spoken He is God.

Verse 16 This verse deals with such questions as What is the origin of the universe?
How did the world come into existence ?
What holds things together ?

There are basically three views of creation
Some say by some means and in some way some gas or some element of som sort just appeared "the Big Bang theory"
There is the view that some god did create the World, but is far off and removed from the world. This was the view Gnosticism, they just feel that God is far away removed from the world.therefore, He must have used other forces or beings, other intermediaries or some other way to make the World. This is what Paul was addressing here. Who created the Universe.
The pure Christian view, the truth that God Himself, the Sovereign Majesty Of the universe, created the world in the person of Jesus Christ
So Jesus Christ created all things. All things collectively , that is, all the things within the universe were created by Christ
"All things" individual , that is every, every single detail of creation, was created by Christ
It does not matter what kind of world or creatures they may be-thrones , dominions, principalities, or power-Christ them all

Verse 17. Jesus Christ is before all things it means 2 things

Jesus was before all things in time. Before the first thing was ever created. Jesus Christ was already there. He is not a created being, He is the Creator. There was nothing existing .
Jesus Christ is before all things in importance ,supremacy, and preeminence . Nothing is superior to Him.
Jesus Christ is what holds the world together by his energy his force, power ,order, unity, solidarity ,

Verse 18 explain the relationship between Christ and the church.
Jesus Christ is the head of the Church.
Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it

Christ and the church is a picture of a human body with Christ being the Head and the Church being the body that is life. A body cannot live apart from the head and the head cannot live apart from the body to be life they need each other. Christ is made known only through the lives ok His people, the church .

Jesus Christ was the first to arise from the dead. The resurrection of Christ is the reason the church exists
The resurrection of Christ and the church are tired together . Every person who truly believes in the resurrection of Christ is a true member of the Lord's church. Because he was raised from the dead we will be

Jesus Christ is the preeminence Person in the universe because He died and arose again for man's salvation it was because he was obedient to God the Father in dying and being raised from the dead that God the Father has made God the Son preeminent in all things.

The point is this God's great love for His Son explains why the church exists. God created the world and man to Worship and Serve him. All men will not worship and serve Him He knew that some would if he provider a way. This God did. He provider the way through His Son Jesu Christ and the church. The person who believe in his Son Jesus Christ is forgiven of his sins and accepted into the new body of people God is creating, the body call "the church"

This is what the church is a body of people who have approached God through The Lord Jesus to worship and serve God

Sunday's Lesson. Philippians 3.7-11
Gaining Christ

Phl 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Phl 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
Phl 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Phl 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Phl 3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

In this Philippians church There was some self righteous Christians you know those that at church every Sunday, lead praise worship follow all the rules Tong talking, bible reading member seems to be during every thing wright may think they are more righteous than others. They think they are more closer to God.

The problem in this Church those Jews were Circumcised and the Gentiles were not so the Jews though they were more righteous than the Gentiles

Paul was in jail in Rome , he wrote this personality letter to the Philippians that it doesn't matter how much good you do are obey all the commandment that is not how to be acceptable to God.
God is perfect and not a single person is perfect .No person can do enough good to become perfect. Imperfection cannot make perfection . You cannot earn or merit the right to live in God's presence

Paul had achieved the height in self- righteousness . Paul ranks among the greatest of men who have attempt to work their way into the present of God yet it was to no avail His goodness did make him acceptable to God

Verses 4-6
The privilege of birth he was saying that goodness are not found in birth nor in religious rituals. He said he was "Of the stock of Israel " He was saying he had the right national heritage . He said he was "Of the tribe of Benjamin " Benjamin was considered the aristocratic tribe of Israel because of the tribe loyalty

What he was telling these Gentiles Christians that goodness and righteousness are not found in social or religious status.

After Paul considered everything he had accomplished in his life, sad that it was all worthless when compared to Christ. To know Christ is the Christian ultimate goal. Consider your values. Do you place envy anything above your relationship with God example. Money,Men, wife, husband , children's, homes, wealth and so on.Paul gave up everything -family, friends and political freedom- in order to know Christ and his resurrection power.we too have excuses to this to this knowledge and power, but we have to make sacrifice .

What are you willing to give up in order to knowChrist Paul is telling us. Nothing is worth holding on

He had it all and it was a lost. There is nothing more important than Cgrist

Phl 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Aman

A preacher, had to withdraw from the inaugural ball because he preached the truth. no preachers I know is standing with him. Are preachers. afraid to call sin sin? Well I am not, we all sin. All unrighteousness is sin. This is what he said

(9:20) [God] says very clearly in [Leviticus], verse 22, after he talks about a lot of different kinds of relationships, he says in verse 22: “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female. It is an abomination.” Now if you would look forward into the New Testament context, to the passage that most of us know most commonly with this issue, into chapter one of the book of Romans, let’s read a few verses together beginning in verse 18. If you’re taking notes tonight, you might make this the note of Leviticus 20:13 and the book of Jude, we won’t look at those passages but there is some support and encouragement there to this topic.

(17:37) Men, women, I can’t say anything other to you tonight than this, that if you look at the counsel of the word of God, Old Testament, New Testament, you come quickly to the conclusion that homosexuality is not an alternate lifestyle… homosexuality is not just a sexual preference homosexuality is not gay, but homosexuality is sin. It is sin in the eyes of God, and it is sin according to the word of God. You come to only one conclusion: homosexuality is less than God’s best for his creation. It is less than God’s best for us and everything in our lives that is less than God’s best for us and his plan for us and his design for us, is sin. That’s God’s voice. If you want to hear God’s voice, that is his voice to this issue of homosexuality. It is not ambiguous and unclear. It is very clear.
